The University of Kragujevac Sector for the International Cooperation
has been functioning since the establishment of the University. The international relations have been given the highest priority which is clearly stated in the University mission. The Sector is responsible for establishing and developing the cooperation on a bilateral, regional and multilateral level through project activities, workshops and seminars, students’ and teachers’ mobility, knowledge and technology transfer, participation in academic networks and associations, etc.

Today the University of Kragujevac
has grown into a modern educational and research center embracing almost all major areas of teaching and research, presently comprising 11 faculties with the student population of 14 000 and the academic staff of 1000.
|
|

|
After the adoption of the Republic of Serbia Law on high education in 2005, the academic and professional studies at the University of Kragujevac, based on approved studying programs of high education, are organized at several levels:
1) First degree academic and professional studies that last three or four years leading to the title of Bachelor in the corresponding field;
2) Second degree academic studies (master academic studies lasting one or two years and specialized academic and professional studies lasting one year);
3) Third degree academic studies – PhD academic studies.
The academic studying program in medical sciences may be integrated within the first and second degree of academic studies.
